SYNOPSIS

A journey through world cultures seen through the eyes of children aged 10 to 14. In each episode, a young guide introduces us to their village, friends and community, revealing the traditions and ways of life passed down from generation to generation.

In Dawson City, in Canada’s Far North, 15-year-old Liam, a descendant of the Yukon First Nations, shares his daily life in a land where winter temperatures can reach -50°C. From snowmobiling across vast landscapes to street hockey and Christmas preparations, he introduces us to life in the extreme Canadian North.

On the banks of the Napo River in the Ecuadorian jungle, 13-year-old Juan shares his daily life with his family and friends. From canoeing to school and fishing in the river to gathering food and learning from his shaman grandfather, he introduces us to the traditions and rhythms of life in his community.

Iceland (2017)

In Hvammstangi, Iceland, 11-year-old Balla introduces us to life in the “land of ice,” from encounters with seals and farm work to cycling with friends, trout fishing and traditional tales from the fjords.

Lebanon (2017)

In Lebanon’s Chouf district, 13-year-old Stephanie shares her daily life with family and friends, from school and sports to fig picking, a visit to a Druze sanctuary and the celebrations surrounding her cousin’s wedding.

Morocco (2018)

In the heart of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, Hasnaa shares her daily life in the Berber village of Imilchil, between school, friends and traditional crafts. As the annual Moussem approaches, she prepares for one of the community’s most important celebrations.

United Arab Emirates (2017)

In Ras Al Khaimah, 11-year-old Rashed introduces us to Emirati life and traditions, from his grandfather’s beekeeping and his father’s camels to the Arabian horses and falcons that fascinate him. Deeply connected to his heritage, Rashed dreams of becoming a pilot.
