SYNOPSIS
On June 8, 1993, René Bousquet—former Secretary General of the Vichy police and a key figure behind the Vel’ d’Hiv roundup—is assassinated by Christian Didier. Immediately after the act, Didier calls the press and claims responsibility. But who is he really, and what drove him to commit such a crime? Through this act, the film explores the tensions between justice, memory, and politics in France, and raises fundamental questions about the country’s responsibility toward the victims of the Holocaust.
