SYNOPSIS
Their journey through the Second World War made them some of the most important and enigmatic intelligence officers of the conflict. One was a German, a fervent Christian, the other a Hungarian Jew, an early communist. Coming from worlds that everything opposes, these two men, brilliant intellectuals, will never meet. This unlikely collaboration in the heart of neutral Switzerland was, according to some, decisive in the outcome of the war in the East and the fall of Nazism. The transmission of intelligence from the German military high command, which they provided over an astonishingly long period of time, remains, 80 years later, a historical enigma. This film offers an understanding of this mystery, which traces a key episode of the Second World War and bears the seeds of the Cold War.
